8 Reasons Practice to Rope Flow
This article will cover some of the main reasons to rope flow, as reported by many of our happy customers here at Octomoves.
The rope flow revolution is underway, with thousands of people across the globe using this simple tool to awaken their spinal engines and unlock their athletic potential.
Let’s dig in!
Reason 1: Improve Mobility & Joint Health
Performing the classic figure-8 pattern with the rope effectively opens the hips and wrings out any tension in the mid-back - both areas that stiffen up as a result of modern habits like sitting and using tech. It also helps to activate the glutes and the deep core - two places that tend to go ‘sleepy’ after prolonged sitting.
The result is a body that feels more balanced and free to move.
Reason 2: Enhance Your Athleticism
Rope flow is a way to coordinate opposite sides of the body at the same time and develop a sense of timing. In fact, the primary figure-8 patterns that you perform with the rope (as seen in our free training videos) mimic athletic movements:
Underhand movements involve a similar movement sequence to that seen in walking, running, underhand racquet shots and even throwing an uppercut.
Overhand patterns look more like throwing a ball, overhand racquet shots and other forms of striking.
By drilling these rope movements and making them second nature, you’ll find that most athletic movements in a sporting environment feel more efficient and effortless.
This rope is super lit! Amazing training tool!! I have been using it to prepare for the Olympic Games next summer & I feel great!
Reason 3: Reduce Stress & Anxiety
Tom - More flow
“If you were to have only one tool for movement, strength, mobility, balance, coordination and fluidity, that's the one.”
Reason 4: Improve Cardio
Julian - Regain your flow
“Rope rolling has been an amazing journey for me, increasing fluidity in movement and acting as my moving meditation. The Phoenix is the 2nd rope I've purchased and I am extremely happy with it's quality. On top of that Rokas' tutorials and eagerness to help others master their flow is an added bonus. Great product, great platform!”
Reason 5: Train Your Brain
It’s well established that keeping the brain active is a key factor in maintaining cognitive function as we age.
It just so happens that the rope is a great tool for learning new skills, and unlike other movement skills like, say, a handstand, there’s a shallow learning curve.
Within a few days of practice, you’ll likely have the basics down and be able to integrate some patterns together.
On the topic of brain function, many Octomoves users have reported that the rope has helped them improve their productivity, breaking up the workday and increasing focus.
“My focus, mindset and overall well being has improved tremendously after trying out the Flowzilla Octorope. The breaks in-between my work don’t last as long as it did and THEY ACTUALLY HELP ME get back to work.”
Reason 6: Connect to Nature
Trinity Alignment - Movement and earth
A new movement is happening in the world of fitness where the gym is the ground of the earth at your feet and sun is the light that hits your body when you train. I couldn't think of a better tool to bring with me outdoors. Take what is ancient and make it new again! Keep it unconventional! Stay connected. Thank you Octomoves. Awesome ropes!
Reason 7: Develop Healthy Habits
Francesco Lisboa - Flowtastic!
I have been using it every day. It helped improve my balance, posture, mobility, and flexibility. The rope seems durable enough. worth every dollar I spent.

“Never thought that ropes can take place in my daily routine. I waking up with ropes and going sleep with ropes! Its so relaxing from your negative thoughts. It’s just a lot of fun to exercise wherever you go - just spin and feel how your hands coordinate the ropes itself! Thank you for this experience.”
